Dresses and skirts are really my thing at the moment. This checked monochrome dress from French Connection is gorgeous, the fit and flare shape is very flattering on my waist and skims over my hips/thighs with the box pleat skirt. The check is also great at detracting the eye from any lumps and bumps but it is still quite a subtle pattern. It is a very structure dress, it holds it's shape well and I love the square neckline. The material feels lovely as it is a cotton blend and it has a satin lining. It's a great staple piece for any wardrobe as you can dress it up or down. If you're thinking of ordering this, I would go for a smaller size as I think they come up quite big. I got the size 6 and it isn't quite as tight as I would usually go for.
