Our night's stay at the Millenium Madejski hotel, Reading

A few weekends ago, we had a charity ball to attend too through Warren's work and we stayed at the Millenium Madejski Hotel in Reading and so naturally I wanted to do a review of it. I always find reviews helpful when looking at where to stay so maybe this will help someone else wanting to book here too!

Being a football fan, Warren was excited to stay here as it is Reading FC's hotel. Here he is modelling his new coat from Jacamo which he is really happy with. He was worried it was too big but I think it fits well and means he can wear his jumpers underneath now it's getting so chilly!

Millenium Madejski Hotel in Reading

I was quite excited as it was a 4* hotel so I expected it to be a night of luxury without the kids and it didn't disappoint - we had a great night!

The hotel Reception was lovely and spacious with luxury touches and the staff were very helpful and professional. We checked in really quickly and then got the lift up to the fourth floor to our room.

Our room was lovely, not the biggest but enough room for both of us for one night. I loved the warm colour tones and the fact there was a desk. The extra bonus for us that was they did room service, we love getting room service and even though we couldn't use it that evening because we had our meal at the ball, it's definitely a reason to book in the future! We toyed with the idea of getting it for breakfast but decided we'd opt for a lie in while we could!

The bathroom was pretty standard, nothing special but had all the amenities and was clean.

The room was also well stocked with all the amenities you'd expect but also an iron and ironing board and complimentary bottles of water in the mini bar.

The thing that made this hotel room a bit more quirky than others is that it overlooked the bar downstairs which was pretty unique and fun.

Overall, we had a good night and the hotel was lovely and well worth booking if you just need it for a night or 2. Prices from £159 per night in a standard room including breakfast (as of Nov 2017).
