Our family holiday in Portugal

Our family holiday in Portugal

I wasn't going to do this post as I didn't get many photos.. I wanted to have some time off and really enjoy it with my family. But I've had a few questions about the hotel we stayed at so I thought I'd do a quick run down for you.

We stayed at the Be Live Family Palmeiras Village, we chose it as it looked really kid friendly and with a nearly 4 year old and 8 month old that was a high priority for us. Our room was good, we had a single bed for Sienna and a cot for Aria but there was still enough room for us to all get ready. We also had a really nice bathroom with 2 sinks, bath/shower and toilet and bidet. We also had 2 balconies that was lovely, one was for washing and the other for playing! We also had a sea view from our balcony.

We went all inclusive as otherwise it would have cost us a bomb feeding the girls (and us) all week. I wasn't looking forward to the food to be honest as previously when we've gone all inclusive, it wasn't that great but we were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was by the best with endless amounts of pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, potatoes, fruit..

Lunch and dinner was also impressive with several pasta dishes, pan fried beef, spaghetti & meatballs, plain veggies, chips, paella, cheese and wine.. it was really good and the girls didn't struggle to eat at all.

I also loved how there was activities on all throughout the day that you could just join in. I didn't join in with any but the pool aerobics always looked good! The only thing that was quite annoying is that the kids disco didn't start until 9pm.. our girls were absolutely shattered by then so we didn't make it that once.

We spent most of our days by the kids pool as Sienna loved playing in it either independently or with her friends she made or her little sister. We were always there keeping an eye on her lounging on our sun beds and playing with Aria. It was so relaxing for us but fun for the girls.. win, win!

There was a 'adults' big pool too but to be honest it was freezing so we didn't spend much time in there! I did get in for picture purposes though ;)

We did have one rainy day so we decided to go to the zoo marine for the day. It wasn't too far away and we used the Uber app to get a taxi which worked really well. We had such a fun day there, I'd recommend visiting if you do visit this area. There was lots of rides, aquarium, dolphin and bird shows and had it not have been raining there was a man made beach and splash area.

We also visited the local beach one morning and that was fun. It was a really little beach, nice and safe for the girls.

Aria particularly liked eating the sand ;)

We had such a lovely family time, we definitely plan on going back to this hotel at some point as we all really loved it and it was so easy for us as it was so kid friendly. It was fab as our familymoon and Aria's first family holiday, I can't wait for our next one!
