I'm really trying to get our house a bit more 'homely' lately and therefore I'm loving home decor at the moment. I thought I'd share a few of the things I'm after at the moment for our house.
Our bedroom hasn't been touched since we moved in, eek! We don't even have any blinds on our sky light windows which is probably why we can never lie in, the light shines right on us! I love these black blinds from VELUX. As well as being black out they also reduce heat loss and gain which is good for the bills! We also desperately need some storage, our wardrobes are not big enough! I love this blanket box for going at the end of bed and storage all my pyjamas and workout clothes.
The Hallway isn't very big at all so we can't fit much in it. We already have one shoe cupboard behind the door but we have too many shoes! This shoe unit from Ikea is really thin so is great if you don't have wide hallways like us, we could have this and the other one to store our shoes. I also think the white wouldn't close it in as much as a natural wood one would. I also want to do a gallery wall up the stairs and I want this stags head to be the centre of it.
The kitchen is also in desperate need of more storage and this wooden wall shelf with hooks would be perfect for our mugs. Of course I'd need a few new mugs for it ;) The ones above are from Cath Kidston and I will be getting them very soon!
The living room is the room that is the closest to being finished; I started it first because it's room that people see the most. The next thing I'm hopefully getting is the Corona unit, I feel like I don't really have a unit to display candles and pictures and trinkets on so this would be perfect, we could also do with the extra storage the cupboard at the bottom would offer. I also love this lamp from Dunelm mill as a little finishing touch.
