Giovanni Rana range

I hate cooking when it's hot, I'm too hot to even think let alone put a meal together! We have been eating really speedy, easy dinners that I can just throw together at the last minute. Pasta always seems like a good idea and the Giovanni Rana range has been so handy for that, making it even quicker and easier for me.

We had these large ravioli; one was sun ripened tomato, sliced olives and mozzarella and the other was Gorgonzola pdo & crunchy mellow walnut.  They are fresh and only take four minutes to cook which is just brilliant. The ravioli is a great size and has lots of filling so you can really taste it. Sometimes with things like this all you can taste is the pasta and they have the tiniest amount of filling so this is great.

None of us are keen on olives or strong cheeses however I really loved these although Warren wasn't too keen, yet he said the pasta was really nice. I actually saw this range on offer at my local Morrisons and so I picked up a bag of the chicken, mozzarella and smoked pancetta regular ravioli for us to try instead. We all enjoyed this one so I think it was just the other flavours Warren wasn't keen on.

I normally like a sauce with my pasta so I used the Giovanni Rana tomatoes & basil sauce and it was so yummy! It's full of vibrant flavours but isn't so overpowering that you can't taste the pasta you're eating.   We will definitely keep buying this range in the future, it's brilliant for busy mums as it's so quick and easy but much more nutritious than fast food.

What's your favourite flavour of this range?
