I don't think there is anything Sienna loves more than getting messy (except eating!). She loves doing and making and the messier the better. When she was younger I used to worry about the mess but the older she gets, the more I see how much she enjoys it and I just can't take that enjoyment away from her. After all, a bit of (washable) paint is easy to clean up!
Beebies have a great range of making and doing things on their website. As Sienna loves drawing and painting so much, I already have my eye on the Artist easel with paper roll for her 2nd birthday.
The rainy day craft box is also such a fab idea, I think everyone should have one stored in their craft cupboard ready to pull out on a miserable day!
Also these paint pens are a great idea, easier to hold than regular paint brushes and a bit less messy too I imagine!
Of course, to keep things a bit less messy for mummy, we try to do a lot of it outside however on the not so nice days, I just ensure Sienna has a apron on and she's good to go! The messy play aprons from beeves are so versatile and have the cute under the sea theme!
If you're not keen on the mess of messy play but don't want your child to be left out, why not try the aqua doodle? It's a no mess drawing mat that uses water so is a win win situation until you have no choice in the matter ;)
