Our Gousto Box Experience

Gousto Box Review

Last week, we had the pleasure of trying out the Gousto Box* and I wanted to share our positive experience. The Gousto Box is a big box of fresh produce and meats, delivered to your door along with recipe cards and step by step instructions on how to make your healthy and organic meals. You can also choose to get ingredients for 2 or 4 people depending on the size of your family.

When our box turned up it was full to the brim and I was impressed with the packaging as well, everything was kept separately, meat/dairy one side and produce the other and the meat and dairy was kept very cold.

You literally get everything you need down to the cloves of garlic which I was surprised at. All the spices and everything are labelled with what recipe they are for as well as having the recipes cards with step by step instructions, so it is all very easy to understand and follow, even if you are not great at cooking! All the nutritional information is also on the recipe cards which is great.

The first night, we chose what recipe we wanted to try (Chermoula Chicken with Persian Rice) and I gathered all my ingredients and got to work. It really was simple and clear to follow and nothing went wrong, hooray! It even ended up looking pretty much like the picture, which never normally happens.

The next 2 nights we did the other two recipes that we had and they were equally as easy and delicious, I don't think I could choose a favourite! We had the Sautéed sausage with purple sprouting broccoli and the Roasted cauliflower linguine with crispy lardons and capers.

What I love about this is the fact that you get to choose your own recipes, so you can choose things you know you should like or go wild and try something new. I also love, love, love the convenience of this! It was so nice to have everything delivered to me and know what we are having for dinner and that I have everything I need. No rushing around seeing what we can muster up for dinner and then realising I need to go to the shop for 2 ingredients.. it's just so much easier and less stressful when you are busy. I do think it is quite expensive however I think for certain circumstances it is very helpful and convenient. I think it would be particularly great for parents with newborns; everything is normally quite hectic and you're so tired you don't want to think about what's for dinner so this helps you out a lot but is still cheaper and healthier than eating out 3 times a week!

We highly enjoyed it and I'd really recommend it if you're wanting healthy, organic meals for dinner but without the faff of shopping, finding recipes and potentially forgetting an important ingredient!

*We were sent this to review but all opinions are honest and my own.
