If you've been following us on our Vlogmas journey, you may know that we have recently moved rooms and Sienna now has the biggest bedroom of the house... at one years old! Daddy is very jealous about this but I honestly think she has more toys than I do clothes, so she needs the space!
Now that she does have a bigger room, I was thinking of getting her first toddler bed. I know a few people that have put their children into toddler beds at 15 months and it has been a success so please don't think I am crazy!
Sienna has always been a good sleeper and I think if she had a little Princess bed up against the wall with a bedrail, she would be more than fine! Once she is asleep, she sometimes cries out but she rarely wakes properly so I don't think she would get out, or if she did we were thinking of putting a stair gate on her bedroom door anyway. I don't want it to be like a prison but it is big enough to act as her playroom as well now and her old bedroom is a little office for me. This means while I'm working she can play in her room and I know she is safe in there!
I am a little reluctant to get her a toddler bed though as we know we want another baby soon. I know it won't go in a bed straight away but if it is another girl, they will share a room and I will probably get them bunk beds, so they still have all the room to play.
I just don't know if there is any point getting Sienna a toddler bed this early to only then change it again if we have another girl! Or wether I just try and keep her in her cot until the next baby comes and then we decide? It's a hard decision!
On a slightly separate note, we accidentally broke our bed moving it upstairs, whoops! We have repaired it for now with a bit of Gorilla glue but I'm not sure how long it will last! We have been having a look at storage beds as our bedroom is smaller now, we need to make the most of any space we can! So it looks like I am saving up to buy us all new beds?! haha!
