Avene is a brand that i have heard lots of positive things about, however, never really tried myself. The reason for this being that because my breaks outs are very stubborn, i always tend to go for more 'stripping' cleansers to combat this.
Avene's products use Avene Thermal Spring Water known for it's soothing properties and all their products are aimed towards 'sensitive, intolerant and allergy prone' skins. This cleanser is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic and also aimed towards oily, blemish prone skin. Sounds promising.
The reviews on the Boots website are what really made me want to try this cleanser and i can say i throughly agree with the majority of them. It sounded too good to be true but i can assure you it isn't!
Pros;
-Removes all traces of make-up,
-Gentle on the skin, doesn't cause any stinging/reaction,
-Doesn't strip the skin,
-Leaves skin super soft,
-Helps clear up small breakouts*,
-Helps control oily/combination skin,
-Lathers really well so you don't have to use much,
-Smells clean & fresh but not overpowering,
-GREAT value for money.
Cons;
-Packaging isn't that great, a pump would be much better.
That is the only con i can think of! This is definitely my new favourite cleanser and i will definitely be repurchasing this! I have used just over half of the bottle and i have had it for 5/6 weeks so it's definitely cost effective! I'm also addicted to the smell of it, but that may be my pregnancy hormones, i literally want to eat it! ;)
*My breakouts/acne will only properly clear up with a prescription from the doctors, but if you just suffer with the odd breakout at the time of the month or something, i'm sure this would clear it up!
Do you love Avene products? Any other must-try products from this brand?
I'm too scared to try anything new right now as my face is a mess and freederm seems to be helping. This sounds really lovely though :) my boyfriend have a few avene products and loves them all xx
