Blogmas day 4: Our Christmas plans!

Christmas is the ultimate event that the year leads up too for me. It starts straight away in the January sales, where I get all the bargains I can ready for Christmas the next year. This is what really helps me budget for Christmas.. you may as well get them while they are in the sales than pay full price 10 months later! I also pick bits and bobs up throughout the year in the sales and put them back for Christmas. TSB have some great tips on budgeting on their countdown to Christmas page so that is worth checking out for more tips.

I have normally done most of my Christmas shopping by December so we can spend time and money on doing festive things. I like to try and do as many festive activities as we can throughout December. These things include crafts, visiting Santa's Grotto, visiting garden centres that have all their Christmas bits out, Christmas shopping and Christmas baking.

Christmas Eve is normally a family day for Sienna, Warren and I. We generally stay in, play Christmas music and Sienna gets her annual Christmas eve box to open. We do Christmas stickers, read Christmas books and then in the evening make the reindeer food to put out and leave all the treats out for Santa and the reindeers. I must admit I think Christmas Eve is my favourite day of the whole time as it so relaxed and fun for us.

This year on Christmas day we are at my parents house all day and then we are having a second Christmas on boxing day at Warren's mum's so Sienna will love that! We still need to get our Christmas jumpers for the big day as that is another tradition we have started!

What are your plans? Do you do the Christmas jumpers theme?
