#MoreThanFireSafety

More Than have started a fire safety campaign and are really trying to promote the importance of preventing fires in the home, so have asked me to collaborate with them on this post. It goes without saying fires are one of the most dangerous things that can happen in the home; they can start without much warning and can spread so quickly causing devastation. Not only can it take peoples lives, it can destroy homes and memories. It is important to make sure you have safety procedures in place.. having an escape route and making sure the whole family is aware of it could be important one day!

Here are my top 5 tips for fire safety in the home;

-Make sure you have fire alarms fitted through your home

-Check your fire alarms are working regularly!

 -Take care in the kitchen & never leave the kitchen unattended if something is cooking

-Don't overload sockets with plugs

-If possible, switch off electrical equipment and gadgets at the wall when not in use

More Than have also put together an interactive video where you can spot the fire hazards. Once you click on the icons, it gives you the fire prevention tip for that item which is brilliant. You can see that video here.
