Dreaming of Summer: Holiday planning!

Even though spring is just around the corner, the cold temperatures seem to be refusing to say goodbye. If you live in the UK, it can be hard to look forward to the summer as it tends to be over and done with all too soon. Instead, why not beat the cold weather blues and plan your summer holiday? Here are some of the hottest and sunniest destinations we’re thinking of for July 2015.

Turkey
This Eastern Mediterranean destination boasts an average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius in July. You also get more for your money here, as the pound is becoming stronger and stronger in comparison with the local currency. Head to Istanbul for a holiday that has everything: culture and history, vibrant city life, markets such as the Grand Bazaar and white sandy beaches.
Costa Rica
Famed for its coffee, Costa Rica is the idyllic tropical holiday. The beaches here can rival those of Hawaii, with clear blue water and white sand. Temperatures in July average around 30 degrees Celsius, so it's the perfect place to top up your tan. Spend a week here with the girls, relax on the beach, drink a few cocktails and you'll never want to leave.
Caribbean
Whether you're splashing out on a luxurious spa resort, or booking on a budget, there's a Caribbean holiday to suit any wallet. Many of these islands have a colonial heritage with clear French, British and Spanish influences. You can spend time on the beaches, go snorkelling in the crystal clear water, or take a boat trip. Whatever you choose, you'll return home feeling refreshed.
Greece
Greece is a perpetually hot and sunny destination, we went last year and as sick as I was (being 6 week pregnant), it was gorgeous. As well as the mainland, each island has its own rustic charm and friendly locals. If you want a quiet holiday, stay away from the larger islands such as Corfu or Crete and head for the quieter islands, like Los or Lefkada. Athens has an average July temperature of 29 degrees Celsius, so it's far warmer than British summers!
Thailand
Also known as the Land of Smiles, Thailand is a truly fascinating country, with a rich cultural heritage steeped in Buddhist traditions. You can visit Bangkok, the incredibly vibrant capital that truly never sleeps. Alternatively, visit one of the quieter islands, such as Koh Kood or Koh Phayam, for a slice of tranquil paradise. Prices are cheap, so your holiday will probably cost less than you think.
There's nothing better than counting down to a week in the sunshine. So get booking and go bikini shopping!
