Courthouse Clinics is the UK leader in doctor led cosmetic treatments and pride themselves in providing clinically proven treatments and products in a professional medical environment. When they got in touch for me to review some of their skincare I was so excited as I have seen some fantastic review around on how they work brilliantly on acne.

I gave over my details of my skin so they could prescribe some products for me and my skin! As you know, I pretty much struggle with breakouts all the time but since the miscarriage, my hormones had sent my skin crazy and I had my worst bout of acne. Along with the products I got some basic guidelines on when and how often to use the products to make sure I get the best effects.

I started straight away with the Vitage Skin Calming Aloe Gel RRP £14* in place of my usual night time moisturiser. It's a water based moisturiser so it sinks in really well to the skin and isn't sticky at all, I actually really like it! My irritated, sore, itching, angry skin was instantly soothed in the morning and looks much calmer as well as actually healing. This is now the product I reach for when I get a bout of angry, flared up skin or a reaction to a product.

The Vitage Revitalising Daily Cleanse RRP £24* is a really gentle but effective cleanser. It does foams but not so much that it feels drying or leaves your skin feeling really tight. With it's mixture of antioxidant vitamins, it hydrates your skin and is also anti-ageing. It's a unisex product and can even be used in place of a shaving foam as it really is smooth and creamy. It leaves my skin feeling cleansed and smooth but not dry and 'squeaky' clean, again I really like this product!

The Vitage Micro Skin Polish RRP £27* is the product I haven't used much. Not because I don't like it but because I just personally prefer a more chemical exfoliant rather than a scrub. I find it does spread my acne when using something with physically particles in it however this is a great one for my nose where I have blackheads rather than spots. The consistency reminds me very much of products like St Ives Apricot Scrub except it isn't as abrasive and is much more gentle on my sensitive skin.

The Priori CoffeeBerry Brightening Facial Complex RRP £53.50 was what I was really excited to try. Even when my skin is clear of active spots, I have lots of scarring and dark spots so without make-up, I still look like I have a lot of spots. I know if I could fade these a lot more, I would have pretty clear skin so that is what I'm always striving for. This light moisturiser is suitable for pigmented, combination, ultra-sensitive skin just like mine and claims to reduce fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage by brightening the skin. It's a really nice texture, it does feel more like a moisturiser than say something like the HealGel as has a slight coffee scent but it isn't overpowering. I can definitely see that this is lightening my dark spots, however it is a slow process.

After using these products my skin has definitely improved but I wouldn't say the effects are amazing... however, I do think my bad skin may be mainly down to my hormones after the miscarriage and that is something skincare can't balance out.
