Ginvera Green Tea Skincare!

When Ginvera offered me a chance to try their products, I was a little excited. Ginvera is a skincare brand with it's roots in Asia that uses green tea extract to restore the skin's fairness and clarity, the natural way. My excitement for Ginvera's products is because of the Green tea aspect. I am a huge green tea fan and I drink it all day long. I am already familiar with the benefits of it so I couldn't wait to see how it applying it directly to my skin worked, rather than drinking it.

I first tried the Exfoliating Marvel Gel. I got a 10g sample tube, I really like the packaging of both products, I think the green is a great touch to reflect the green tea used and the design is simple but effective with the logo, name and description. It is also suitable for all skin types which is great.

The gel itself is lightweight, smells fresh and is purely amazing. '30 Rubs to Smoother & Radiant skin' is the summary of this product and that is literally what it does. It works by targeting the top layer of skin and dissolves and removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, leaving it soft, clear and smooth. As you massage this into your skin, you can feel all the bits of dead skin being rubbed off under your finger tips, not the nicest feeling but I love a product that you can see and feel doing it's job.

The Exfoliating Marvel Gel has hands down become my favourite skincare product and has even replaced my Clinique clarifying lotion. It has a better effect on my skin and is a lot more gentle and natural. Hurrah, my search for a replacement for the alcohol ridden lotion is complete! I just love using this gel, I am hooked.

If you have followed me for a while, you will know I struggled with acne for a few years and this has left me emotionally attached to full coverage foundations, even though my skin is now pretty much clear. As well as the lack of coverage, I have also found BB creams to be way too oily for my skin.

So naturally, I was a little sceptical on using the Ginvera Green Tea Nude Cover BB Cream. The cream has a slightly different fragrance to the Marvel gel but still fresh and pleasant. Again, it's lightweight and suitable for all skin tones, available in only one colour. It contains SPF 30 which is amazing protection from the sun but I do feel this may contribute to a slight pale/ashy look of it against my tan, but this is easily fixed with a bit of bronzer.

To the touch it is a little thicker than other BB creams I have tried but still applies smoothly and evenly. It blends into the skin well and doesn't leave any residue or tacky feeling. After a few minutes on the skin, I would say it actually sinks in and leaves a semi-matte finish. The coverage is beautiful but still natural, it allows the skin to show through and gives a nice glow but still evens out redness and the skin tone.

The thing I like about this the most is that it feels like skincare. My skin feels nourished and supple when wearing this, not tacky & heavy. It's the perfect base to use, especially for warm, summer days.
