DIY maternity photos - Somerset Lavender farm

At the weekend, I really wanted to head to the Lavender Farm that is local to us and get some nice family photos. The Somerset Lavender farm has been on my bucket list every Summer since Sienna was born and we have just never got round to it!

Being 34 weeks pregnant and not having many free weekends between now and due date, I was desperate to try and get some maternity photos done. I left it too late to book a photographer so we took the tripod and tried to DIY it!

I'm so happy with how they turned out actually, despite our tripod breaking and Aria not being in the best mood! The girls did eventually love exploring when they found snails to play with haha. I got some lovely photos of them together and separately as well!

I really wanted some of the girls and the bump but Aria doesn't do on demand poses so Warren had to be clever and do them naturally as we were just walking and these are fitting the bill! I really love how natural they are and how it captures our last few weeks as just us three until she is born.

I obviously wanted some family ones as well, we tried to do some 'posed' ones which aren't too bad but they aren't my favourite. I feel like you do need a photographer to get nice ones of all of us haha!

We also got some of just Warren and I as well which I wasn't sure if it was a 'done' thing as we have the girls as part of the family but I really like them regardless!

I already can't wait to go back next year with baby girl and try to recreate some of these, it will have to be a yearly tradition now!
