Our 'Summer holidays bucket list' 2018!

I do one of these 'summer holidays bucket lists' every year (see last years here) as I love to make the most of the 6 weeks Sienna has off school and (hopefully) the best weather we get in the UK. This year I am starting it a bit early as I feel like we need to share it over all of the half terms that we have coming up, as this baby is due in the summer holidays on August 9th. This probably means that the end half of the summer holidays will be a bit more low key and we won't be making many flights or spontaneous weekends away to anywhere far.

March

We already have a family holiday booked for 26th March which is exciting. We're off to Gran canaria, staying in the Dunas Mirador Maspalomas which we can't for! This will be another country ticked off our bucket list and I'm hoping Aria might remember this one as now she's older. We are probably going to travel up the night before and stay in London near Gatwick, we normally go for something like the Holiday Inn as it's cheap and cheerful but saves us travelling in the traffic and potentially missing our flight!

April

At the moment, April is pretty quiet for us in terms of travel plans, it is my husbands birthday month and we had spoke about doing a city break to Barcelona staying somewhere like the Renaissance or the Leonardo as we've read great reviews on it being kid friendly but we are still umming and ahhing over it as we are already going away in March now and potentially May.

May

We've had a last minute opportunity come up in May to try out the Martinhal Cascais family hotel in Lisbon which is quite exciting! We are just trying to work out final details to see if we can make it work and if it will be worth it for us but Lisbon is a fab city centre I've heard so it would be a fun 3 day break for us and maybe our last one before the baby comes!

July

July is where the summer holidays start and before I was pregnant, we were hoping to do a road trip around the UK. Starting at the Macdonald crutherland hotel in Glasgow and working our way back down to the St Ives Harbour hotel. We'd need two weeks ideally to make the most of it and I just don't know if it's a bit close to D-day now! Warren would also need two weeks of annual leave which is a big chunk, especially just before he will need paternity leave.

I'd love to try and fit as much in as possible before the baby comes and make some memories with the older two girls but I also need to take into consideration how tired and pregnant I might be. I should probably be taking it easy and being responsible just as the summer holidays starts on 20th July.. just 20 days before due date (and my second was born 3 days before her due date!).

What's on your bucket list this Summer?
