We have just got back from a fun weekend in London. We went to Legoland on Saturday (full review coming soon!) which was a super long day and then we stayed at Warren's sisters and went to the National trust Cadbury easter egg hunt at Fenton house and garden on Sunday!
Fenton House is a 17th century house with a walled garden.. it was absolutely beautiful and the perfect spot for a little Easter Egg hunt! We didn't spend much time inside but we did have a little look at the paintings, ceramics and house in general! There is also early keyboard instruments, needlework and beautiful panoramic balcony views across London to see too. If you take a visit, you also wouldn't want to miss these:
-The 300 year-old orchard and kitchen garden
-The historic rose garden, and the formal lawns
-The Camden Town Group's collection
-Chinese, English and German porcelain collections
We had a good explore of the garden, the children had to find several china teacups, teapots and jugs around the garden, it was very much 'Alice in wonderland' inspired which was fun! Whilst walking around you had to mark off on your sheet when you found the objects and that's how you claimed your prize. Both girls found them all, they were so good at it.. Sienna took it quite seriously haha.
As you know, my girls love exploring and running around so both of them really loved it. They loved climbing the steps, admiring and smelling the flowers and hunting in the pots. Aria was also obsessed with picking up handfuls of gravel, apparently it is the most fun game and feels nice on her hands haha!
(the girls beautiful outfits are from Next!)
Their prize at the end was a Cadbury Easter bunny.. They both demolished them in seconds of course! There was also some beautiful spots for photos although it was pretty busy so I didn't manage to get many. I'd love to go back when it isn't so busy to get some photos of the girls and us as a four.
All the hunting worked up an appetite so we headed to Rossopomodoro in Camden for some delicious Italian food before packing up and heading home! I'm going to do a full review of the restaurant soon and I also have a giveaway for a family meal coming so look out for that in the next week or so!
Once again, we had such a busy but fun weekend in London and can't wait to plan our next weekend there! See the video of our whole weekend below:
