living arrows 2/52 - knee deep in toys at Grandma

This year, I've decided to join the Living Arrows linky over on Donna's blog. She says "Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky".

I take so many photo of the girls but I never really blog about them so I thought taking part in a linky would give me more inspiration to do so. I'll be sharing a photo or two of the girls, capturing a moment of childhood. I'm going to try and get 'candid' photos, not them just sat down next to each other trying to smile at the camera. I'm going to try and take them at different places too so it's more interesting and can act as a memory of what we did through this year.

These photos are from the Sunday just gone. We spent the afternoon at Warren's mum's house and after a lovely roast dinner, the girls did what they do best.. empty all the toys out & make lots of noise playing! It was the first time I feel Aria really got involved. The first time she sat down & 'played' and the first time she was really able to walk around the house exploring and picking up toys. Her new favourite thing is to empty and fill various containers with whatever she can find so I'm pretty sure it was her idea of heaven when Sienna dragged the big toy boxes out. Both girls were walking backwards and forwards from the playroom to the living room, each time bringing a different toy with them.

I loved just sitting & watching them play, I feel like I never get the time to do that. When I'm at home and they're sat playing nicely together,  I use it as a chance to mad dash around the house getting chores done as fast as possible or grabbing a quick shower & putting my make-up on before my time is up. I really need to start 'taking them in' so to speak and enjoying these last few months with them both, before Sienna heads off to school.
