Living Arrows 1/52 - Aria's first time exploring the field

This year I've decided to join the Living Arrows linky over on Donna's blog. She says "Living Arrows is about celebrating childhood. The project originally took it’s name from a poem by Kahlil Gibran, “You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth” and every Monday we share a moment from our week and invite others to do the same as part of this linky".

I take so many photo of the girls but I never really blog about them so I thought taking part in a linky would give me more inspiration to do so. I'll be sharing a photo or two of the girls, capturing a moment of childhood. I'm going to try and get 'candid' photos, not them just sat down next to each other trying to smile at the camera. I'm going to try and take them at different places too so it's more interesting and can act as a memory of what we did through this year.

This first one was on a 'simple' walk round the field.. we have done this many times although this one was extra special as it was the first time Aria had been since she could actually walk with us! It was also the first day she wore shoes.. these are actually Sienna's first shoes which makes me more emotional. I haven't got round to getting Aria any yet even though I have got her measured so I dug these out Sienna's memory box just for the day.

Sienna was excited that her sister was old enough for shoes and could walk in the field. They were squelching in the mud, holding hands walking round and Sienna was showing Aria leaves & sticks.. it gave me a first glimpse of the sisterly bond that is (hopefully) to come. They both love being outside and it was nice they were enjoying the same activity together. Sometimes, I feel like I have to 'separate' their activities. When Sienna's building blocks, Aria's tearing it down... when Sienna's colouring, Aria's eating crayons.. but walking is something we can all do together.

I'm so excited for this year as Aria gets older and they are able to do more things together as sisters. I can't wait for all the memories we will make and all the photos I will take!
