I don't know why, but I really struggle to style boots sometimes. I only ever wear them with jeans but when JD Williams challenged me to style a pair of ankle boots for Spring/Summer I decided to explore outside of my comfort zone.
I see lots of people wearing little ankle boots with skirts in the Summer and I've never thought it looked good on me but I thought I'd give it a go the other night when we headed out to Warren's football presentation. The boots I chose from JD Williams are the Heavenly Sole Suede boots with tassel detail.
Unfortunately we're not really having a Spring or a Summer at the moment so I decided to wear tights with it but I still loved the look and it was a little bit different for me. The skirt is really old from front row shop but I love it. It's got a zip at the side but it looks like it's a wrap skirt with the panel at the front. The dress code was smart casual, so I just teamed it with a black t-shirt by Villa and my trusty cream jacket from F&F. I love khaki, cream and tan together so I added the tan in with the belt.
I love the way it turned out and I will definitely be wearing this outfit more. The boots were so comfy despite being a bit higher than I would usually wear for running around after Sienna haha! I feel like it was a good comfortable mum outfit but also a bit stylish.. win win!
