We all know that there is probably more we could do to be healthier. Even people who are in the gym every day will often then pig out on fast food. It’s often a trade-off we’re happy to make. “I could be healthier, but that would take more time, and there are things I’d rather be doing”. There’s real logic to that too. Life is for living, not just surviving. Who wants to look back and think, wow, I sure behaved myself! No one.
Nonetheless, there are plenty of adjustments which, while not massive regarding the impact on your schedule, can make a difference. Living healthily will have benefits which allow you to really enjoy life. You don't need to feel deprived and guilty all the time - we're talking small changes that have big impacts.
With that in mind, it is worth following a few rules for life which will allow you to look and feel better 24/7.
Hydration Is Your Friend
Scientists say that you should drink two liters of water a day to stay hydrated. One often wonders if the same scientists follow their own advice and, if so, how they deal with feeling like the merest prod will cause them to burst. The truth is, you should make sure you have water on hand at all times and keep drinking it, but not to the point you feel unwell. As a side note, drinking that much water can be bad for you if you’re not also getting enough salt. Choose a natural salt such as Pink Himalayan and sprinkle a tiny amount into any glass.
Moderation In All Things
It’s a terribly bad idea to follow every healthy lifestyle tip recommended by every supposed nutritionist out there. For a start, many of them are no more qualified to prescribe a course of action than your pet cat, and we all know he'd just suggest huge amounts of tuna. If you drank all the water, ate all the green veg, red and white meat and took on all of the teas they recommend, you’d have no time for anything else. What’s most important is to avoid binges. Some chocolate, red wine, or fillet steak can be very good for you. Mainlining it is not. Ever.
There’s No Substitute For Exercise

It can be tempting to say to yourself “I don’t need to go to the gym if I just eat right”, and it’s true, you don’t have to go to the gym. But you’ll find that when you do go you feel better and with the right outfit you’ll feel more confident. Check out sites such as Lorna Jane and get active if you want to look good and feel healthy. Exercise stimulates endorphins. Not least of all, they help you stay on an even keel emotionally, and the better you feel, the more it will show in your face.
If you follow a healthy lifestyle, everything else falls into place around it. You will feel better and have more energy. It will be easier to maintain that lifestyle the more you follow it and before you know it, it will come naturally. You’ll see the benefits in everything you do.
