My first furniture makeover!

'First' is a little white lie but it is the first one I'm sharing on the blog and the first 'proper' piece of furniture rather than just little stools. You may know I have my business where I sell my handmade gifts and I've started to add in bigger items that I take when we do craft fairs. I noticed a few people are getting into these furniture makeovers so I thought I'd start sharing mine on the blog!

We picked this cabinet up at a boot sale and as soon as I saw the black hardware, I knew I wanted to paint it a lightish grey. I think it works really well and I love the contrast of the 2 colours yet they still go together. After I painted it I sealed it with a couple of coats of Annie sloan wax and I love the effect! You can kind of see in the picture it's given it a texture two toned look, I'm not sure if this will go once the wax properly sinks in and dries but I will love it either way! This is another addition to my collection to sale :)

Do you like it?
Have you attempted any furniture makeovers? Leave your links, I'd love to see them!

Come & meet me at our #southwestbloggersmeet meet up!
